Junior Deckhand · STCW Certified
Leon Schell
First season on deck —
ready to put the work in.
About
20 years old,
STCW certified,
new to yachting.
I grew up on Lake Constance in Germany, so I've been around water and boats my whole life — I'm a keen angler and hold both an SBF See and a Bodenseeschifferpatent. I'm new to the yachting industry itself, which means no bad habits and no ego — just a genuine want to learn from the ground up. I've always liked understanding how things work, from taking apart motorbike engines to fixing whatever's broken.
Long hours, heavy lifting, dirty work — none of that's a problem. I show up on time, stay until the job's actually done, and I'd rather take a bit longer than do it wrong. Alongside my studies I run web and branding projects for a paying client, so deadlines and responsibility are nothing new. I don't have sea miles yet, but I'm reliable and not afraid to get stuck in.
